The Revised Task Force Proposal Submitted to DIA 10/26/2026

(Approved already by DCC)

  • The Option Agreement ends. It is terminated in full, and DIA and DCC release each other from claims about it. Neither side may sue the other over it; a party that does pays both sides’ legal fees.
  • Meeting space at the Club, free of charge: (value $257,500)
    • The Annual Meeting, permanently.
    • For 7 years: the monthly DIA Board meeting, Board and committee meetings on Mondays, and two large community events a year.
  • Gum Swamp (about 21.5 acres with water rights) is conveyed to DIA for the benefit of the community. No sale is anticipated; it is subject to all DIA and governmental restrictions; If for some unforeseen event in the future, DIA was allowed and authorized to sell it, then the net proceeds would be split equally with DCC.
  • Access to the former JEA water-tower parcel, entered from outside the security gate, so DIA could someday build its own meeting facility there at its own cost and discretion.
  • Boat yard: DCC waives its restriction so DIA can use the two existing structures as they see fit.
  • Cash contributions from DCC: $8,333 toward lake dredging and $2,600 for the QR-code gate system setup, both discussed during the pendency of the Task Force talks this summer.
  • Legal fees: DCC pays to draft the final contract, and DIA may have its own attorney review it.
  • CAM office: The trailer stays through December 30, 2027, under the existing 2025 agreement, and DCC will work with DIA in good faith on a long-term CAM housing solution.
  • A continuing Task Force to resolve issues early and organize community events for children at the Club.
  • Road easement provision removed. The 1999 Easement Agreement stands as it is, unchanged.

Compared with the original. The road-easement provision of the September 18, 2026 recommendation has been removed. The original text remains available as Step 4.
